This course firstly introduces the rationale for LCVYS’s Charter and it’s associated workbook; why this has been created and how it can help every group and setting supporting young people in Lincolnshire to flourish and thrive, for life.
Following an introductory lesson, the course consists of five further lessons which align to the five themes within the charter. Each of these lessons explains the theme in context of young people’s wellbeing, and breaks the theme down into three specific easy-to-understand competencies.
Each of the ‘theme’ lessons outlines these competencies, and provides an overview of three associated activities designed to strengthen each competence, which are offered within the workbook.
The workbook also outlines fifteen creative self-evaluation tools for young people, according to those competencies, and the lessons outline these accordingly as well; how the evaluation tool works, what is measures, and how you can adapt this, as well as the activities, to support the age, development and other needs of the young people you support.
The final lesson offers a summary to using the resources, and an outline of the other e-learning courses available on this platform which may further support your learning.
